A little bit about the Doom Bar Zero Island…

The Doom Bar Zero Island, kindly sponsored by Sharp’s Brewery makes a unique and unforgettable venue for a special occasion.

Comfortably taking a party of 12 people, the Doom Bar Zero Island private hire package includes exclusive use of the Island for 2.5 hours with one of our BWSW Level 2 instructors at your disposal for the duration. The boat can used for water sports activities - waterskiing, wakeboarding, or wake surfing (depending on the boat you choose), plus transfers to and from the Island. The Doom Bar Zero Island is ideally suited for adult gatherings, although we can accommodate children as part of a family event from 8 years plus. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The cost for the Island + Rib - £500 - you can take up to 5 people on the Rib and can waterski and wakeboard behind it.

The cost for the Island + Axis - £550 - you can take up to 8 people on the Axis and you can wake surf, waterski and wakeboard behind it.

Please note - we allow up to 15 minutes per person for activities - so in a 2.5 hour period this means 10 of your guests can get out on the water to enjoy some waterskiing, wakeboarding etc. If you want additional time please consider hiring an additional boat. These can be added to your booking, but will be an additional cost.

Our own Après Ski Café can supply breakfasts, brunch and lunches with hot pastries, bagels and snacks boated out with plenty of coffee, tea and cold drinks. Or we can arrange evening suppers of local fish and chips - again delivered out to you hot to enjoy with a sundowner. If you want something bespoke, we can recommend some local caterers.

No alcohol should be consumed before engaging in any water sports. Strictly to be enjoyed post activities. We will chill and serve to suit.

Island Info:

Can I hire the Island without doing any water activities? No, at least some of your party needs to participate in some form of watersports. Included in your hire is the exclusive use of one of our Ribs or the Axis depending on what package you choose to use for waterskiing, wakeboarding and wake surfing plus Island transfers.

Is there shelter on the Island? There is no shelter on The Doom Bar Zero Island - you will be exposed to the elements. Please check the local weather prior to your booking and dress appropriately. We recommend that you bring plenty of warm clothing, even on warmer days it can get chilly out on the water, plus waterproofs and appropriate footwear for the boat. Other useful items to pack are a warm/sun hat, sunglasses and sun cream, and a water bottle.

Can you swim from the Island? Guests are not permitted to swim to and from The Doom Bar Zero Island or swim from the Island itself.

Can you SUP/kayak to and from the Island? Guests are not permitted to SUP/kayak to and from The Doom Bar Zero Island.
