wake surfing
Fancy a surf even when it’s flat? We’ve got it covered. come down to camel ski school and surf the massive wave our specialist ‘Axis’ boat produces
A little bit about wake surfing at Camel Ski School…and learning the ‘Camel Ski’ way…
When you are wake surfing you only need to be towed to start with, as you are pulled up out of the water and onto the ‘wave’, once the wave forms you can drop the rope and surf the steep face formed by the boat.
Wake surfing is the latest water sport on the scene at Camel Ski and has quickly become one of the most popular. You get to go out on our ‘uber cool’ Axis T220 Boat which can create a much bigger and steeper wake than the waterski boats, making it perfect for wake surfing. This greater wake also makes the Axis T220 a good choice for more experienced/advanced wakeboarders too.
Progress the Camel Ski way using our booklet.
Sessions Available To Book:
We run three type of sessions - all with UKCCL2 tuition.
- a 15 Minute Tow - this is best suited to people who can already wake to Level 3 in our 'Camel Ski Way' .
- a 20 Minute Progression Session - sometimes a standard tow is just not long enough - this extended session allows you to have that little extra time on the water to improve your skills or perfect a certain trick.
- a 30 Minute Beginner Session - the one to book if you are an absolute beginner. This session includes a detailed land lesson within the 30 minute session per person. We use the 'Camel Ski Way' to fast track your learning experience, a copy of this Progression Booklet is included in the price and is given to each candidate at the end of the lesson. Once you have had one beginner lesson you should be able to book onto a 15 minute tow - but please check with your Instructor as to what they advise.
Please note - if you are booking a one person tow you will need to bring along a responsible companion to act as your 'spotter'. They do not require any former experience to do this and you do not need to book them in.
